Theory, Culture & Society: Book Series Proposals

The Theory, Culture & Society Book Series editorial board do not normally wish to review complete manuscripts or theses. A decision is normally made on the basis of a 4-6 page proposal. It would be useful if you could address the following:

1. A rationale for the proposed book.

2. A contents table.

3. A paragraph on the material to be included in each chapter.

4. Some details of the targeted market (e.g. undergraduate, postgraduate) and subject area. A discussion of the proposal in relation to existing or successful texts in the field would also be useful.

5. A biographical note for the author or editor. In the case of edited collections, a brief biographical note for each contributor, plus a short outline of their chapter, should also be included.

The Theory, Culture & Society Book Series currently has over 150 titles published, many by leading figures in the social sciences and humanities, details of the titles in the series can be found here.
